The theme of time photo challenge 13

A Time to Talk by Robert Frost

When a friend calls to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, 'What is it?'
No, not as there is a time talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod: I go up to the stone wall
For a friendly visit.
The time of day is early morning hardly any sunshine, later in the day sun shining overhead the washing making shapes onto the ground.

Photo Challenge 12

Two ingredients used in cooking today
Red Flower Tote
You could use this colourful tote to carry home quite a few ingredients .

Posted by PicasaThese are the two ingredients that I shall use in preparation of a meal today. The dish will be pasta and the other ingredients will be peppers, mushrooms and soya sausages for preference. I prefer to use tomato puree and adding other fresh ingredients to it.

Our family was taught to cook pasta the traditional Italian way as my sister maried a Sicillian.  He taught my mother to cook spaghetti using puree for the sauce.

He showed me the correct way to eat it when I was a little girl picking it up with a fork and winding it around on a spoon. Mother got used to cooking pasta and we enjoyed eating it.

I added my colourful Red Flower bag as it is a bright red like the tomato puree ha!

Photo Challenge 10

Cloud

This formation came up over houses and chimneys thats why you see a bit of green which is a tall bush. I liked the white clouds forming with the bit of blue. I think you call it a Cumulus but what type? There are some very beautiful shapes made by clouds and blue sky to see. There was thunder and lighting last night and rain today but it did brighten up and I managed to capture this around where I live in a village in the countryside.

My bag is featured on Folksy Friday

My handmade Orange Flower tote is featured in Folksy Friday by Sam of Sconch Textiles. The theme is Orangey Delights and such lovely items were chosen. What a good idea it is for crafters to help each other in this way.

She was inspired to do Folksy Friday after seeing her green phone case featured on Uniquely Yours "green-themed" treasury blog.

Her blog is well worth a look. She likes crochet, patchwork quilting, embroidery.

I loved the material which was a curtain I found at an outdoor market near where I live in Cornwall. I thought it would make a lovely colourful bag. I'd chosen another orange curtain material for the straps. There was not enough for two straps and luckily I found a lighter  colour so the straps became two tone. The colours blended really well together and matched perfectly. It is a fun funky bag.

I make bags from recycled fabric and curtain material make really good bags I find especially vintage retro also I sometimes use modern material too. Its what ever catches my eye and would love to make into a gorgeous bag.

Textile craft
I have responded to the blog challenge to take a photo a day. I am sure the colour theme is yellow today, this is a colourful post to add to my blog. I included my Felt Bag in the mix as I would like to add sewing and crafts too.

The cotton reel is one from my collection of threads. The other photos are from Truro town today. The big flower this stood out from the rest and is from a plant seller in Truro farmers market. The yellow frontage of a travel agents is a such a bright cheerful yellow. In the library I saw this yellow textile and others pined to a wall advertising a textile course starting in September, looks like it would be fun.  The photograph of the big button in a case is from a fabric shop.  That's it from me I hope I fit the bill and did what was required. I wonder what the others on this challenge have photographed.
