A Few Velvet Pieces

I sometimes go to car boot sales near where I live there are two close by. I was lucky to find a big bagfull of unused material with squares of velvet so picked out a few. The prices for them were 10p each! Luckily they were a size for a clutch bag. I haven't made one yet. That will be my next project or two I will see how inspiration strikes.

A Day out in Truro Cornwall

Here I saw a circus act performing as statues for their first time down in Truro Lemon Quay beside a newly erected sculpture of the drummer man by Mr Shaw and inscribed with the words " It is a place where the drum beats differently" he has said "It is a place that has an element of timelessness and magic about it and that the landscape itself feels very ancient"

Circo Kernow is the region's first and only Circus Training school based in the south coast of Cornwall in the ancient pirate town of Penryn! Kernow is Cornish for Cornwall.

There were other things going on in Truro at the Hall for Cornwall there were Viva Vegan food demonstrations with lots of free delicious samples yum. And booklets, recipe sheets and Veggie magazines.  I will buy some delicious chocolate and veggie food and I will try some vegan recipes!

A purple Climber

This purple climber was in bud by the back door just before I went to see my daughter and her partner and their house in Wales for a week now it is in full purple bloom. My husband and I went to Prestatyn our other daughter came from London too so it was a lovely family get together. It was a nice change sitting in the back seat while our two daughters were in the front the youngest driving us all around in her new car. We made the most of being fairly near major cities in Manchester, Chester and the shopping complex in Cheshire Oaks and to Liverpool where we visited The Cavern and the John Lennon Pub where we had a quick drink and saw lots of photos on walls.
