I made a few small things this week I found Pom Pom yarn in a parcel of remnants I like to buy. It had a pattern on the label you knit between the little Pom poms. It feels lovely and soft, added crochet flowers to use up my yarn. I love buying remnants usually a parcel as you often find nice things including lace, embroidery silks, knitting book.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zpskv0kwtqa.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zpskv0kwtqa.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zpskv0kwtqa.jpeg"/></a>
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zps069yyyq3.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zps069yyyq3.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zps069yyyq3.jpeg"/></a>
I also found this pretty yarn from France which has a mix of acrylic mohair, wool and gold lurex. And luckily I have a few pretty pearl buttons to add too.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zpssroe3gar.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zpssroe3gar.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zpssroe3gar.jpeg"/></a>
I made this cowl using up my oddments of yarns and used a drop stitch pattern with stocking stitch.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zpstvsiikzy.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zpstvsiikzy.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zpstvsiikzy.jpeg"/></a>

I bought a set of these Christmas cake tins as my own was too small fit the cake I made. I included this photo as it goes with the other colours here.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zpsgdck57am.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zpsgdck57am.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zpsgdck57am.jpeg"/></a>
Also I am going to a Christmas Craft Fair just before I go to see my daughters in London for a month to spend Christmas

I made a little bag for myself with remnants too.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image_zpsauthttns.jpeg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image_zpsauthttns.jpeg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image_zpsauthttns.jpeg"/></a>

Scarf width approx 10" Length quite long. A very easy pattern in stocking stitch quick and fun to make.
Balls of yarn

And it looks bright and colourful as Autumn decoration! Here is the lovely <a href="http://bobbilewin.com/?p=3259">pattern </a>

I have made two granny squares so far and these just need a zip and lining to make a purse. The blue is a bright turquoise dont know if the colour shows correctly on cumputer screens. I may make a few more for craft fairs. I must say there are a few new ones in Cornwall now! There is Hellys at Helston right by the boating lake and Heartlands in Pool between the towns of Camborne and Redruth and now a craft fair started in Camborne town at a centre indoors, all fabulous crafts, Thursdays and some Saturday's which is already fully booked and am on the reserve list for that one.

I made this hat to add to my collection with this<a href="http://twostrands.com/2014/05/07/free-knittping-pattern-north-shore-hat/
"> pattern </a>it's knitted with a bulky pure cream new wool and so is quick to knit up. I like how easy it is to add this icord at the end by picking up and knitting the stitches as you go. This should be so warm and cosy to wear.

Here are a few bags I made with this pretty striking Laura Ashley boats material. There is a different boat both back and front so it can be worn either side!
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsyggtw3bk.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsyggtw3bk.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsyggtw3bk.jpg"/></a>
It has a zip pull at the top shaped like a lighthouse a finishing touch.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg3_zpsy87te1tv.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg3_zpsy87te1tv.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg3_zpsy87te1tv.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg2_zpsdz019gzk.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg2_zpsdz019gzk.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg2_zpsdz019gzk.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpssjwaxnut.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpssjwaxnut.jpg" Width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpssjwaxnut.jpg"/></a>
And a Pencil Case.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsdolf03gp.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsdolf03gp.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsdolf03gp.jpg"/></a>
With a waterproof lining.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg2_zpsbvusd5wa.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg2_zpsbvusd5wa.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg2_zpsbvusd5wa.jpg"/></a>
These two boat items are ready to set sale from my shop. The tote bag the first made is already sold!
I think all the items turned out pretty good using this boat material!
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg3_zpsmf7sdsnf.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg3_zpsmf7sdsnf.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg3_zpsmf7sdsnf.jpg"/></a>

There are three crochet bags made this week including the one I made last week.
Size 12" two 13" one 14" in length. I tried a firmer tension with the first bag the smallest as I wanted a small size crochet bag, the largest I tried a looser tension the middle sized a mixture, plus there were a mix of yarn labels double knit with varying thickness. You can do a crochet granny square with three double crochet each time going around I wanted four double crochet for thickness to be more substantial.

I have plenty of time to make them all before I go to see my two daughters in London mid September so that's good.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg2_zps77sjvxwo.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg2_zps77sjvxwo.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg2_zps77sjvxwo.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg3_zpsrdbz4lve.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg3_zpsrdbz4lve.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg3_zpsrdbz4lve.jpg"/></a>
I have changed the lining material for a few bags to make variety. There are lots of fabrics, lovely remnant pieces at a shop in a nearby town selling all things Retro also including painted furniture and clothes and so a good place to get pretty material I found.I bought this green coloured lining there for £1 a bargain. I think the lace, which I've had for a little while will make a nice edging on a pocket or two, too!

I had this crochet bag for sale in my shop and a lady from Rhode Island USA bought it and gave me a commission to make another four more, Christmas presents for her grown up granddaughters.
I enjoyed making these so will be busy crocheting a few more granny squares, I know how to make one from memory now. This pretty material a remnant is for the linings and pockets, enough for all the bags.
I have quite a lot of double knit wool just a few more colours were needed and bought. All the loose ends are woven in as I do them except for the joined together pieces as I wanted to take a photo first.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsh8ey3zet.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsh8ey3zet.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsh8ey3zet.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg2_zpsu4rpimp4.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg2_zpsu4rpimp4.jpg" Width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg2_zpsu4rpimp4.jpg"/></a>
I think just a few colours look good together or a mix of colours all the bags will look different. Now a shoulder strap and a button.

I made a couple more matching table coasters to make a set and put them in cellophane bags for the craft fair.

I was pleased that I sold a few items at this craft fair at Heartlands including a bag, purse and a make up bag, one lady in particular like my cushions and bought the crochet edging pair, she wanted to buy the blue patchwork but didn't have enough cash on her could not pay by card as I did not have a card machine, she took my business card. My sister did well too and it was a hot summery day so a good day all round.

I have had fun making these little bags for children a little fairy bag and purse and slightly smaller clown bag with purse.
Also I made two table crochet coasters so far, I may make a couple more as a set and to add a little difference to my stall with other items, bags, cushions etc for a craft fair in just over a weeks time.

I have a few mohair yarns in various colours and I thought I'd use them all to make a stripey shawl following an easy <a href="http://www.stitchandunwind.com/summer-knit-shawl-pattern/">pattern</a> of stocking stitch. There are 100 rows with two rows of garter stitch at each end. The joins of colour are left fairly long so as to make a fringe. I think this will become a colourful summery shawl.
I have ordered a few more balls of mohair online they are being sent from Italy and will wait for these to arrive before knitting as I dont want all the same colours on one side, rather to blend in all the colours throughout the shawl.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsu01hvivw.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsu01hvivw.jpg" Width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsu01hvivw.jpg"/></a>

These colourful red flowers have just come into flower so had to take a photo, behind is a stone hedge this is covered with climbing ivy which I think looks good too.

I found and bought these three balls of yarn in a packet at a charity shop for £1 and liked the autumn colour. I have started knitting and will probably make a bag, I bought these two balls of yarn too in a wool shop as I liked the mix of colours and the fluffy texture of the yarn.

I am having a few blond streaks put in my hair this week by the way to jazz it up a bit, so not all grey hair.

I went to a craft fair and as you can see I have a lot of knits and crochet items, two crochet cardigans a cushion, purse and pink flower bag in a seed stitch.
I have come to the conclusion prices need to be a big feature on a stall table with noticable prices on show and as the lady next to me has a board with her pricing in the middle and at the front of her table. I put little price tags on my items but that's not enough, prices should be clearly seen. I began to feel that my items were just for show a showcasing of what I'd made ha! And I admired a crafters display of crafts in cellophane so professional, the next day this lady brought in a few of those bags for me, a nice surprise, you can see them in my stall photo. I do feel a bit timid about selling though but I will price and display better another time. A lady bought my orange flower Retro bag for £6 she said the price should be higher and as it was Retro. The table was free for the two days, so no loss. People gave me nice compliments about the items and a little girl really wanted to buy the mohair pink flower seed stitch bag, but her mother told me she has loads of bags already otherwise she would have bought it, oh dang!
My sister had a stall too she did very well selling her wears, people do love her colourful jewellery and scented candles in cups!

I have made two shawls one crocheted and the other knitted, the pattern for the crochet shawl is <a href="http://poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/abstract-shawl-crochet-pattern.html">here</a> from my last weeks blog post.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsto02xepr.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsto02xepr.jpg" Width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsto02xepr.jpg"/></a>
I made this shawl this week with a multicolour acrylic yarn and this <a href="http://luisafelice.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/very-easy-shawl-knitted-sideways.html">pattern</a> and is easy and quick to knit and an ideal pattern for multicolour yarn.

I knitted a swatch a while ago with super chunky yarn now made into a purse with a zip and lining. I am making small items like this purse to take to a craft fair next weekend with my sister Diane, who makes jewellery and scented candles in cups, we have a free stall each for the two days! Yay!!
This is the poster for the event.

I found a white yarn with spots of colours in pink, lilac and yellow and used this yarn. The increase is four treble at the begining and end of each row and I had to unravel three rows as I did just two treble stitches at one end. There are thirty five rows and now I am over halfway. The yarn is 100g DK acrylic and started a second ball, I like crocheting shawls at the moment. And the next item I would like to make is a blanket/throw in blocks of colour of various sizes and knitted, probably
I have been making purses and small items as well for a Market Weekend at Heartlands in Pool Cornwall in June with my sister we have a stall each for two days and it is free!

My crochet friendship shawl is completed. I used pastel colours in a cotton/wool mix cotton/acrylic and added a few more bought yarns some with Merino wool. I think all the colours blend nicely together, an ice cream colour palette.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg1_zpsbfu3dr4m.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg1_zpsbfu3dr4m.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg1_zpsbfu3dr4m.jpg"/></a>

I made a little bag with two pockets for all my knitting needles and also crochet hooks, now they are easy to find with ample room for more and as I had cotton/polyester batting left over from my first quilt I used that with a little free motion quilting.

The rug is now finished with the fringe each end it didn't take long all together to make using up what I had available, wool acrylic and cotton.
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg2_zpslg05zfki.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg2_zpslg05zfki.jpg" Width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg2_zpslg05zfki.jpg"/></a>

I made a few crochet lengths then put the motif I had made earlier in the centre to make a cushion, quite colourful I think with floral cotton material on the back.

I have begun a crochet shawl, a first for me, with a few pastel colours of cotton mix yarn I had and as I don't like to be wasteful I used them all and will see how it looks as it grows. It has 67 chain stitches, so quick to do, it will be 60" in length. I will probably need to buy more of the same yarns or similar to finish. It is a friendship shawl this is the<a href="http://www.treasuresmadefromyarn.com/2013/08/friendship-shawl.html"> pattern.</a>
<a href="http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/flic00/media/image.jpg6_zps3hnb6a1a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n504/flic00/image.jpg6_zps3hnb6a1a.jpg" width="400"border="0" alt=" photo image.jpg6_zps3hnb6a1a.jpg"/></a>

I have started filling my new room with a few craft books looks good I think so far.

The utility room has been transformed, the fridge, laundry basket now in the kitchen so much better, a smaller table for the kitchen is fine as it's only myself and Mr CB. The new room has a new sofa bed, a futon as I wanted an extra bed for when my daughters visit and somewhere to sit and relax in comfort. So far, a table, shelves, a few pictures of the garden flowers. A 'shabby chic' style decor I think! It could be a room for knitting, crochet, I have a big spare bedroom used as a sewing room, or just an extra room to relax in.
I made this rug with wool, acrylic and cotton with light pink wool from left over pieces of a Guernsey sweater which I'd made mittens with, deep pink, green, light blue cardigans and a blue cotton towel. I doubled the acrylic and cotton pieces, the pink Guernsey was thick enough as it was. A make do and mend recycled items now upcycled into this cosy rug. It has a hessian backing, machine stitched on as were all the pieces. It is a bigish rug and measures 3ft without the fringe by 30" Next to do is add the fringe each side and luckily I found a few yards of this amongst the trimmings of ribbon and lace I have. I was wanting a rug for my new room now I have one and pleased with it so far.
I've made the cushion too, so I have been busy making things. I don't work apart from one morning a week in a charity shop so have plenty of time for creating and crafting nice things.

I have made a hat quick and easy with a soft Aran yarn in a grey/blue shade with size 5mm circular bamboo needles from my set of 16 the last two rows with double pointed needles. <a href="http://www.littletheorem.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/cladach-hat.html">This</a> pattern for the cast on, rib and decreasing then a change of pattern to a plain and two stitches purl as that's what I wanted to do.

I like how the ribbing match up together at the front. I used two shades of mauve, the lighter colour for the fronts and sleeves and the two blend nicely together. It fits me too it will be nice to slip on over something summery.
The two shades.

I have started this lacy knit cardigan with a mauve colour a lilac border and with the acrylic yarn I had instead of the Extrafine Merino. It will be a lightweight cardi as the yarn is double knit. I don't know if I have enough of the mauve to finish it though, I will add a matching colour. It is an interesting pattern style and has two ties at the front. I will see how it turns out, it is classed as easy to do, and with the colour mix. The <a href="http://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knit-Cardigans/Eyelet-Cardigan-Fiesta-Yarn-STITCHES-West">pattern</a> is from All Free Crochet.

I do have a few chocolate pieces left saved as they have bunnies on them and added them to this little post with some daffodils from my garden for Easter.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! I hope you are having a good one and
not eating too much chocolate Ha!
