A baby hoodie, a crochet cot blanket and rows added to my afghan

I have knitted a hoodie which will be for my great niece's baby boy, my sister's daughter's daughter's baby, expected in early February. The sleeves are set in square by adding a marker a few rows from the end of the sleeves and stitching them in from the marker and the beginning of armhole shaping. I have used different colour blue buttons for a fun quirky style. I have added this crochet cot blanket I made last year too and bought useful items, booties in a set of three, hat and nappies. We are looking forward to seeing the baby and as it is the first boy born for a while as my sister had two daughters and they had girls and I did too. I have added a few more rows to the striped Afghan I like to do a couple of rows or more a day as the rows are quite long. If I don't have enough wool to finish a row I will use another colour which will add to the design! It is becoming colourful I can feel the gorgeous thickness of it. It will be a warm cosy throw when it's done!

Adding rows to a crochet throw and two sales!

I have added more rows to my crochet throw after I decided it was too wide. I cut a piece off measuring at least 3' long and it was taking ages to do a row. The stitch is four loops in a chain stitch which will make it a thicker warmer throw. I have used up quite a bit of my spare wool and will get more as I need it also crocheting on a long chain will be easier than stitching together squares at the end. I sold this throw and a tartan and corduroy bag in my Folksy shop January Half Price Sale this week!

I started to make two crochet items

My daughters loved their hats and mitts I made for Christmas. They are not into knitting, they have busy lives, they just missed each other at Christmas at home, maybe in the future. They are both together now having a catch up time in London and to trendy places. I have two unfinished pieces to show. I started crocheting a scarf in a pattern of bobbles, with lots of colour It may become a snood I haven't decided. Then I liked the idea of using up all my scraps of wool, as I hadn't made much headway with my stash of wool, to make a stripy Afghan. I got a bit carried away with the chaining as I wanted it to be big enough. It is about 80" and a pick up and leave it project. I had to unpick the first bit in blue as it was too tight with the second row of stitches luckily it didn't unravel I have started crocheting evenly into the blue stitches. I do like to knit when I have time I have sewing projects too and a January Sale in my Folksy one of which is this Crochet Throw. I have photographed these items indoors today as the weather is not good.
